The TDP High School Fall Program structure is complete (8 weeks). The program will be designed around a detailed throwing program, position specific defensive work, hitting classes, and Live At-Bats. We will have both an Underclass (14U-15U) and Upperclass (16U-18U) Division available. Hitting Classes and Live At-Bats will take place in the TDP Indoor Facility, which is set to open up in early October. The Live At-Bat portion of the Fall Program allows our pitchers and hitters to face off in a competitive setting. We will have live pitching metrics and batted ball data from Rapsodo Pitching and Rapsodo Hitting. We will also utilize the BATS video and data software so players will have the ability to review their performance the following day and make the necessary adjustments to improve their skill-set.
The hitting classes are designed to increase rotational power and core strength, while also refining swing mechanics, improving adjustability of the swing, and understanding hitting approach. The program will be a blend of dynamic and traditional hitting drills, velocity training, PVC progressions, med-ball training, and core exercises.
The throwing program is an individualized, multimodal program designed to increase strength, durability and stability of the arm and supporting muscle groups. Workouts will include a progressive weekly throwing regimen, band work, PVC progressions, med-ball throws, and conditioning. Pitchers and position players will go through Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Throwing Program
The defensive portion of the program will be a position specific progressive framework implementing glove-work, throwing, agility, quickness, and pre-pitch processes that will help bring your defense to the next level (Infield, Outfield, Catching).
